What are the GoBiz Merchant offerings?

What are the benefits of GoBiz?

By subscribing to GoBiz, merchants can accept payments using credit, and debit cards and electronic wallets, and at the same time get new revenue streams through new business opportunities for Telco Reload Top Up, Bill Payments, Game Points Reload, Remittance and International Airtime Transfer.

Who are the target merchants?

Any legitimate business in Malaysia that needs cashless payment facility for their business. By subscribing to GoBiz, merchants / traders / businesses are able to accept debit and credit cards and electronic wallets as payment methods for their business.

What are the requirements for registration?

Photocopy of the following documents:

  • Any Business Registration Certificate with local council or SSM Business Registration Number
  • Identity Card
  • Front page of the Bank Statement
  • Site visit photos
What is the GoBiz Pro?

GoBiz Pro is a bundle services s which include subscription to Postpaid Line, Digital Payment Apps and Physical Payment Terminal facilities. On Top of that the merchant can also subscribe to Telco Reload Top Up, Bill Payment, Game Points Reload, Remittance and International Airtime Transfer as an option payment services.

What are the GoBiz Pro detail offerings?

GoBiz Pro customer will receive the following offerings:

  • 2 SIM cards Postpaid plan
    1. One SIM card for Mobile plan
    2. One SIM card for Payment Terminal
  • One wireless android payment terminal
  • 1st SIM card for Mobile plan:
    1. Unlimited Data @ 5Mbps
    2. Unlimited Voice – Domestic
    3. 5GB Hotspot
    4. Unlimited data for MVT (for NFC enable smartphone only)
  • 2nd SIM card for Payment Terminal:
    1. Unlimited data for GoBiz Transactions
    2. All data access to other than GoBiz transactions will be block.
  • FREE Wireless Android Payment Terminal worth of RM600.

Where can I get the GoBiz Payment Terminal
  • The payment terminal will be supply by Authorized U Mobile GoBiz Master Merchant. U Mobile will subsidies the payment terminal up to maximum of RM600. If the Payment terminal price is more than RM600, you must pay the different (top up amount) direct to Master Merchant.
  • The device subsidy of maximum of RM600 only apply one time for 24 months GoBiz Pro contract period.
  • U Mobile will not be held responsible for any faulty, damage, lost, or stolen of the payment terminal.
  • The approved list of payment terminal for the campaign is as follows:

The monthly rebate promotion will be offered to market until further notice.

How much do I need to pay upon registration?

No upfront payment upon registration to GoBiz Plan.

Please take note that there will be a one-month advance monthly fee that will be charged to the 1st bill.

However, the Master Merchant may charge you onetime maintenance fee for payment terminal. You have to pay this maintenance fee direct to Master Merchant.

Is the merchant required to pay the roaming deposit if they request for roaming activation during registration?

Yes, existing postpaid terms and conditions apply.

Can a merchant use their Unlimited Data, Calls or SMS allocation while roaming?

No, the Unlimited Data, Voice or SMS (if any) are for domestic use only. Any Data, Voice or SMS usage while roaming will be charged as per used basis.

Will the merchant receive any SMS notification upon unsubscribing to GoBiz?

No, the merchant will not receive any notification for terminating the service.

Does the GoBiz pro package come with a minimum term of contract?

Yes, the minimum subscription period is 24 months.

Where can a merchant sign up for the package?

As at now, Merchant can subscribe to the GoBiz plans via dedicated Dealers (Master Merchant)

When a merchant signs up for a GoBiz Pro plan, what is the minimum number of lines that a merchant needs to register for to enjoy the packages?

One minimum line.

If a merchant is U Mobile customer, can they change their existing postpaid plan to GoBiz Pro?

At this this point of time, the change any existing U Mobile rate plan to GoBiz Pro is Not available.

If the Merchant is other mobile operator customer, can they port over to GoBiz Pro using their existing mobile number (MNP)

Yes, the Master Merchant will advise you on the process.

Can customer change their existing postpaid plan to GoBiz Pro?

No

Can a foreigner subscribe to this plan?

How much customer need to pay upon registration?

Can customer upgrade or downgrade the GoBiz?

There will be 2 different treatment between Value Added Service and Rate Plan. Rate Plan which added a VAS (GoBiz Starter) can change plan – to higher plan or to lower plan and the VAS (GoBiz Starter) service will be carry forward. Hence, customer’s merchant service remains BAU.

Upgrade/downgrade is not applicable to GoBiz Pro (rate plan)

Where can customers upgrade / downgrade the GoBiz?

No, merchant cannot upgrade or downgrade GoBiz Plan. However, for Rate Plan which added VAS (GoBiz Starter), they can change plan to higher plan or to lower plan. The request must be submitted to the account manager

Can customer unsubscribe the GoBiz?

Yes, Merchant can unsubscribe the GoBiz Plan

What is credit limit for GoBiz plans?

What happen if customer terminate the GoBiz Pro subscription before the contract period expire?

If the merchant terminates the Go Biz Pro subscription within the contract period, the Early Termination Fee will be imposed.

The Early Termination Fee is the Monthly Fee of the remaining contract periods

For example, if customer terminate the Gobiz Plan in month 8th. The calculation of the ETP will be as follows:

(Contract period – termination month) X GoBiz Pro Monthly FEE

(24 – 8) X RM88 = RM1,408.

What is Penalty for Unsubscribe GoBiz Commerce Pro?

No penalty for unsubscribe GoBiz Commerce Pro; however the subscriber’s rebate of RM20 per month for device will be also be terminated

What will the charges be if the merchant temporarily disconnects/the account is temporarily disconnected due to voluntary or involuntary means in the middle of their Bill Cycle?

No extra charges for the disconnection will be imposed. However, the merchant will have to pay for the access fee and service fee (pro-rated based on their active days of the month before the service was disconnected).

What happen to the customer account during the time of temporary disconnect due customer apply (voluntary) or fault (involuntary)?

Customer is Not Allow to voluntarily disconnect the account for temporary period. If customer being suspended due to credit action, the customer cannot use the postpaid line.

Customer can still use the merchant ID to perform business transactions but the Merchant Account will be put on hold, the money will only be release after the customer pay their postpaid bill

What will happen to a merchant’s account during the time of temporary disconnect due voluntary or involuntary means?

A merchant is not allowed to voluntarily disconnect the account for a temporary period. If the merchant’s account is being suspended due to credit action, the merchant will not be able to use their postpaid line.

The merchant can still use the merchant ID to perform business transactions, but the Merchant Account will be put on hold, and the money will only be released after the merchant pays up their postpaid bill.

Can a merchant reconnect their deactivated account?

Reconnection / Reactivation will be based on the following scenarios:

  • Reconnecting a suspended postpaid line – a reactivation charge of RM10 will be imposed
  • Reactivating a terminated postpaid line – not allowed
What will happen to a merchant’s account if the account has been released from call barring/suspension recovery status?

Call barring / unbarring will not affect the merchant service. If the telco service is suspended, all merchant payments services will be put on hold until the telco service resumes.

What are the charges involved if a merchant temporarily disconnects / the account is temporary disconnected due to failure in settling outstanding amounts in the middle of the Bill Cycle?

The Merchant ID account will be put on hold, until payment is made. The monthly charge for telco-services will be, charged on a pro-rated basis, based on the number of active days. Merchant Service charges will also be charged on a pro-rated basis, based on the number of active days.

What will happen to a merchant’s account during the time of temporary disconnect due to failure in paying the outstanding amount?

During the suspension period, a merchant will not be able to use their mobile line. However, they will still be able to use their Merchant ID to carry out their business, while the Merchant Account will be put on hold until the merchant pays their postpaid bill.

What happen to the customer account if the account is Permanently Terminated?
