What are the GoBiz Merchant offerings?

GoBiz offers include Postpaid Line, Postpaid Value Added Services, Digital Payment Apps, Physical Payment Terminal, Telco Reload Top Up, Bill Payment, Game Points Reload, Remittance and International Airtime Transfer.

What are the benefits of GoBiz?

By subscribing to GoBiz, merchants can accept payments using credit, and debit cards and electronic wallets, and at the same time get new revenue streams through new business opportunities for Telco Reload Top Up, Bill Payments, Game Points Reload, Remittance and International Airtime Transfer.

Who are the target merchants?

Any legitimate business in Malaysia that needs cashless payment facility for their business. By subscribing to GoBiz, merchants / traders / businesses are able to accept debit and credit cards and electronic wallets as payment methods for their business.

What are the requirements for registration?

Photocopy of the following documents:

  • Any Business Registration Certificate with local council or SSM Business Registration Number
  • Identity Card
  • Front page of the Bank Statement
  • Site visit photos
Will I be notified with a SMS notification once the line is registered?

Yes, merchant will receive SMS notification on the activation of the services.

Where can a merchant sign up for the package?

As of now, merchants can subscribe to GoBiz plans via dedicated Dealers (Master Merchant).

When a merchant signs up for a GoBiz plan, what is the minimum number of lines that a merchant needs to register for to enjoy the packages?

A minimum of one line.

Can a merchant change their existing postpaid plan to GoBiz Pro?

No.

Can a foreigner subscribe to this plan?

Yes. Terms and conditions apply.

How much does a merchant need to pay upon registration?

No upfront payment upon registration.

Please take note that there will be a one-month advance access fee that will be charged to the 1st bill.

Is the merchant required to pay the roaming deposit if they request for roaming activation during registration?

Yes, existing postpaid terms and conditions apply.

Can a merchant use their Unlimited Data, Calls or SMS allocation while roaming?

No, the Unlimited Data, Voice or SMS (if any) are for domestic use only. Any Data, Voice or SMS usage while roaming will be charged as per used basis.

Will the merchant receive any SMS notification upon unsubscribing to GoBiz?

No, the merchant will not receive any notification for terminating the service.

Does the GoBiz package come with a minimum term of contract?

No.

Is there any transaction history shown upon using the merchant portal?

Yes, the report is available via the Merchant Portal.

What is the penalty imposed for unsubscribing from GoBiz Pro?

No penalty will be imposed. However the subscriber’s rebate of RM20 per month for the device will also be terminated.

What will the charges be if the merchant temporarily disconnects/the account is temporarily disconnected due to voluntary or involuntary means in the middle of their Bill Cycle?

No extra charges for the disconnection will be imposed. However, the merchant will have to pay for the access fee and service fee (pro-rated based on their active days of the month before the service was disconnected).

What will happen to a merchant’s account during the time of temporary disconnect due voluntary or involuntary means?

A merchant is not allowed to voluntarily disconnect the account for a temporary period. If the merchant’s account is being suspended due to credit action, the merchant will not be able to use their postpaid line.

The merchant can still use the merchant ID to perform business transactions, but the Merchant Account will be put on hold, and the money will only be released after the merchant pays up their postpaid bill.

Can a merchant reconnect their deactivated account?

Reconnection / Reactivation will based on the following scenarios:

  • Reconnecting a suspended postpaid line – a reactivation charge of RM10 will be imposed
  • Reactivating a terminated postpaid line – not allowed
What will happen to a merchant’s account if the account has been released from call barring/suspension recovery status?

Call barring / unbarring will not affect the merchant service. If the telco service is suspended, all merchant payments will be put on hold until the telco service resumes.

What are the charges involved if a merchant temporarily disconnects / the account is temporary disconnected due to failure in settling outstanding amounts in the middle of the Bill Cycle?

The Merchant ID account will be put on hold, until payment is made. The monthly charge for telco-services will be, charged on a pro-rated basis, based on the number of active days. Merchant Service charges will also be charged on a pro-rated basis, based on the number of active days.

What will happen to a merchant’s account during the time of temporary disconnect due to failure in paying the outstanding amount?

During the suspension period, a merchant will not be able to use their mobile line. However, they will still be able to use their Merchant ID to carry out their business, while the Merchant Account will be put on hold until the merchant pays their postpaid bill.

What will happen to a merchant’s account if the account is Permanently Terminated?

If a merchant permanently terminates their postpaid subscription, their GoBiz services (including Merchant ID) will also automatically be terminated.
